Very impressed with this office in Chesterfield! Therapy here is very different from other physical therapy experiences I’ve had- you get full one on one work with a therapist. I’ve seen Dr. Michael Gorman 3-4 visits so far and my pain is essentially gone. He has a lot of new therapies like dry needling , Neubie electrical stimulation and Tecar. He used these on me along with manual therapy to get movement back in my foot and calf after a surgery and I am amazed! It’s not just regular exercises( although you do those too). Olga has been so wonderful helping me get my appointments scheduled and she is very nice to work with. This will be my new physical therapy office any time I’m in need!

Dr. Lee’s Neubie device saved my Pickleball game! . I had been dealing with a painful wrist injury from a fall during a competition 7 months ago. Every time I played, even for 1 hr, my wrist would hurt and swell instantly. I play an average of 5 times a week usually for 3-4 hrs and sometimes twice a day. I can’t tell you how worried I was that I would never be able to play to my fullest capability. That is until I said, enough is enough, let’s give Dr. Lee’s Neubie device a try? WOW!!! I have suffered from long-term chronic pain for over 20 years that is trigeminal neuralgia. For those not familiar with it, the trigeminal nerve is deep in the brain near the spinal chord and it has three branches extending from rhe side of the face–one into the forehead, one towards the sinus cavity under the eye, and one that follows down the jawline. If damaged or the nerve is irritated, it sends sharp, stabbing pains to one or all three of the branches and is debilitating. I have tried a variety of therapies over the years including pain shots, acupuncture, traction, and chiropractic treatments along with pain and nerve meds but nothing has reduced the pain for any period. With iMove PT, Dr. Mike Gorman has reduced my pain greatly through dry needling, the Newbie Device, and focusing on reducing nerve pressure on my neck that ties in with my trigeminal neuralgia. I’ve only had 5 treatments so far bug have made significant strides towards better health. For anyone with a complicated long-term problem like me, I would highly recommend iMove PT.

In July of 2024, I again reached out to Mike Gorman and IMOVE PT to help me. I have had two back surgeries and get nerve block shots for the back pain. I had a shot in December of 2023 and really wanted to not get another one until December of 2024. I needed to increase my strength and build up my endurance. I went to Mike for several weeks and reached all of my goals. I received manual therapy, used the Neubie machine and had dry needling. The results were fantastic. I am much stronger and in the best shape I have been in for many years. This is the first time I have gone for a year between pain shots. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Gorman at iMove. My son had an injury in May that should have healed and allowed him to be back to sports in July. After undergoing weeks of physical therapy and going to numerous doctors’ appointments, my son was still having pain that no one could figure out. IMove is an outstanding place for physical therapy where individual attention is paramount. The Neubie machine and effective exercises really make a difference. This is the best PT experience I have ever had. An Initial assessment is done and every visit, your progress is recorded as to what is working and what is not; adjustments to your treatment plan are made accordingly. One of the biggest plusses is that you have the same team treating you every visit and each visit is a full hour. In addition, they employ a wide range of treatments: traditional PT exercises and stretches, deep tissue massage to define problem areas, neuro electrical stimulation and dry needling. I saw improvements after the first session and made significant improvements within two weeks. Such an improvement from the hospital-based PT groups, where you often have a different person each time and continue to follow the same treatment program until it is ended.

I was experiencing extreme pain in my upper back/shoulder area. I tried home remedies for a few weeks but when it got unbearable I was referred to IMove PT by my doctor. At first the therapy was difficult because I was in so much pain. I saw Dr. Joda and after 2 visits, he suggested that Dr. Gorman try dry needling. I was up for anything that would help. I must say that it isn’t a pleasant experience especially being in so much pain. After 3 session of dry needling along with therapy, the pain became tolerable. I had another of 12 visits with Dr. Joda and by the time I was done I had no pain and was able to resume all normal activities. He was wonderful and I would highly recommend IMove PT for any physical therapy needs.

Dr. Mike and Patsy were incredible care partners for me after I dislocated my shoulders this past April. They worked compassionately and intentionally to understand my subjective well-being as well as my physical capability and capacity after my injury. They put together a plan of action that included weekly dry needling to retrain my neurons on how to appropriately fire to correct my instability and dysfunction while utilizing the Neubie to detect the right pathways and moving through a series of exercises to test my progress. I am so grateful for the homework they assigned after each session to keep track of my progress outside the facility on the app. This team was able to get me from practically 30% disabled in my upper body to roughly around 9% in just a couple of months. I am back to operating about 80% with my workouts again and am thrilled for the continued progression. I will be recommending them for the future.

Three different times over 10 years Dr. Michael Gorman has helped me continue working as I reached retirement age and beyond. I am Mike Gorman‘s wife, who is the owner of iMove PT, and you would think that I would be slanted in my views, which I would say is true, but what is also true is that I’m probably the most difficult patient and rule follower. That’s why I want to share my story. I had misstepped during a walk and it didn’t bother me much till I went to wake up. When I woke up, my pain was excruciating, and I was not able to bear weight, unsure if my ankle was broken or strained. All I could think was is, I can’t afford the time to be off my feet and prepared myself to do whatever I could to get better quick. Mike began with doing range of motion exercises and elevating my foot with ice. He later ran to his office and got the Neubie device using it with water to create extra current and I soaked for 20 minutes. The relief was nothing short of a miracle, I was cautious during the day, keeping my foot wrapped in an ace bandage, Using a crutch. By midday, I was experiencing no pain and was able to walk with a normal gait. Of course, I think Mike is the best therapist around but there’s a good reason for that. iMovePT goes the distance and makes a difference and I’m very proud to say so! I have had a lot of physical therapists over the years and he is at the top.

iMove has been great since I broke my fibula at the ankle bone. Dr. VanDyke has come to my home and done lots of different exercises on his visits plus designing an at home regimen. I am 78 and slow-healing and still not released to move on the ankle after 9 weeks, but he keeps it interesting and challenging without hurting the ankle. I have had a lot of physical therapists over the years and he is at the top. Thanks.

I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Gorman’s for over 21 years – ever since he opened his first clinic in Chesterfield Valley. Over the years, he has treated me successfully several times. I have had issues with my neck due to my arthritis more than once and also a spinal fusion in 2011. He helped me recover very nicely from both problems.

He is also responsible for sending me for an MRI on my shoulder which led to the discovery that I had melanoma cancer. That literally saved my life.

Most recently, he has been treating me with “dry needling” as an alternative to having shots in my fused back. This has also resulted in my not requiring further back surgery.

Mike and I agree that this “dry needling” program has been the most successful of all my treatments. He has eliminated most, if not all, of my trigger points in my legs, buttocks, back and hips. I walk better, feel more pain free, and do more activities comfortably.

All of the exercise equipment is very clean and looks brand new. The office is bright, clean, and cheerful, office staff is friendly and welcoming, and the appointments run on time.

I’m pleased to provide a summary of my experience so far with Dr. Laura Wolters, the Physical Therapist assigned to me by IMove three months ago. Laura is highly trained, experienced and wise. She’s a gifted coach, able to find strategies for breaking movements into component parts that allow for mastery. This analytic ability combined with Laura’s personal warmth and determination – her cheerleading – have gotten me out of my chair and onto my feet with the enthusiasm and confidence she models every step of the way. I never dreamed such strides were possible in the time we’ve worked together – and we’re not finished yet. Cheers!

Thanks to Laura Wolters and her consistent efforts toward helping me with mobility, my pain levels are becoming more manageable. iMove PT therapy at home has been incredible since physically leaving my home on a regular basis to attend therapy sessions is not possible.

I am now able to walk from my front yard to my back yard several times now. I know it’s been at least two years since I was able to do so. Our car trips to out of town to visit family have also improved greatly. Many times in the past I would have to cancel trips because of leg and back pain. Now, I’m able to be present for family events and fun, instead of missing out on these precious times.

Recently I drove myself to a doctor’s appointment. May seem small, but was really huge accomplishment for me since for the last 3 years my husband has needed to drive, drop me off at the door and pick me up. Also, stairs are becoming less difficult.

A few days ago I was able to make dinner for my family completely alone while no one was home. Usually, my husband or grandson would have to help me or even just take over so I could sit down.
Laura has encouraged and supported me to be so much more motivated to move, get up out of my chair and accomplish goals I’ve set aside for years.

I’m so thankful for Laura and how she’s helping me to once again become someone who is not just existing, but fully living and participating in life. She is truly the most amazing treasure. With her incomparable therapy and guidance, I’m on an unstoppable path to success.

A plus, of course, is making a new friend, and a personal connection with a caregiver that you don’t get at a large PT facility. The best part is, after the completion of therapy with Dr. Sammi, I found that I had forgotten that I had such knee pain! I am able to walk >4 miles without pain

I had been dealing with left hip pain for a few years. I received an MRI which showed a moderate tear in my hip labrum. Being a physical therapist myself, I knew there had to be a way to decrease pain and improve functional mobility without surgery. I had tried chiropractic care and other physical therapy, which provided minimal relief and it did not last. It wasn’t until I met Dr. Gorman; he said “give me six weeks and let’s see what we can do”. After only six visits of therapy, my hip range of motion and strength improved significantly, I am able to walk >4 miles without pain, sleeping more comfortably, and upping my strength training! Dr. Gorman is a phenomenal physical therapist and I am so grateful to be feeling back like myself again!

After listening to my complaining of severe back pain, my brother recommended his Physical Therapist, Lauren. She works with iMove, a company where the therapists treat patients at home bringing a treatment table and all other elements needed to deliver treatment. Lauren evaluated me carefully, listening with attention and patience to my long list of back pain issues (what triggered the pain, what positions were challenging, difficulties standing, and walking, as well as becoming aware of past treatments, including surgery).

Lauren designed an exercise program for me and coached me on how to do the necessary exercises. She provided videos explaining the way to do the exercises, including her instructions on how to perform them correctly and what exercises to do between sessions with her.

After a few sessions, I noticed a total change in my ability to move my hips and now my back is nearly pain-free. I am once again able to exercise, take walks and play table tennis at a club.
