Why Should I Choose iMove PT?

iMove PT is for people truly looking for a 5 star, white-glove type experience, physical therapy provider.

Every single appointment, whether at our outpatient clinic or any of our mobile physical therapy treatment regions, is 1 on 1 with a Licensed Physical Therapy Provider for an entire 60 minutes.

At iMove PT, you will be the ONLY patient your therapist treats during your entire session.

Our goal isn’t just to get you “better.”

It’s to get you back to doing what you love — stronger than before.

I’ve Heard You Used Advanced Technology. What Does That Mean?

Technology has changed our entire world. We see it every day in all types of industries. Why shouldn’t a physical therapy office use utilize the most advanced rehabilitation technology to move our patients towards their goals as quickly as possible?

The iMove PT outpatient clinic and several of our mobile physical therapy providers utilize the Neubie, a FDA approved, state of the art Direct Current Electrical Stimulation modality. The Neubie helps to reprogram the nervous system so that lost nerve to muscle connection can be restored.

In addition, the iMove PT outpatient clinic in Chesterfield, MO uses Winback TECAR therapy and HRV Diagnostic Testing to enhance the patient experience. Winback TECAR is a modality used in Europe for over 30 years, but just recently FDA approved and used in the United States.

TECAR (Transfer Energy Capacitive and Resistive) further improves the function of the muscles and soft tissue by decreasing pain, improving blood flow and improving oxygen levels of tissue in your body.

HRV (Heart Rate Variability) Diagnostic Testing gives your physical therapist a peek inside to see how your nervous system is functioning. HRV testing specifically looks at the balance between your flight or flight (sympathetic nervous system) and rest and digest (parasympathetic nervous system) components of your body.

This data can help your therapist appropriately plan the intensity of your sessions.

Do I Need a Referral to Start Physical Therapy?

In all states, patients can start physical therapy through Direct Access, meaning you do not need a physician referral to begin care.

If your insurance requires a referral, we will help you coordinate that. During your initial visit, your physical therapist will inform you of how your state’s specific Direct Access affects your need for a future referral.

Do You Accept Insurance?

Yes. We are a Medicare Part B provider. We accept most major insurance plans utilizing your out of network benefits.

Before your first visit, we verify your benefits and explain:

  • Deductibles
  • Co-pays
  • Co-insurance
  • Visit limits

No surprises.

How Much Will Physical Therapy With iMove PT Cost?

Medicare Patients:

If you are a Medicare Part B patient, there are only two instances where you will have financial responsibility.

The first instance involves your annual Medicare deductible. You will be responsible for meeting your annual deductible before Medicare will pay for your iMove PT services.

Oftentimes, your secondary insurance will cover your Medicare deductible. However, we won’t know if that applies to you until we submit our billing claims. We will contact your secondary insurance before your first visit to determine your responsibility with your secondary insurance.

The second situation where there may be an out of pocket cost involves your secondary insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal does not reimburse for iMove PT services.

Aside from this secondary insurance, all other secondary insurances have covered iMove PT services.

If you don’t have a secondary insurance or if you have Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal as your secondary insurance, you would be responsible for 20% of the allowed charges. This 20% typically equates to around $20/visit.

Out Of Network and Self Pay Patients:

In order to provide the highest level of physical therapy care, iMove PT does not contract with private insurance plans such as United HealthCare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, or Aetna. This includes any Medicare Advantage plan.

We do file out of network claims on behalf of our patients. We take care of the hassle of filing to your insurance, you don’t have to worry about anything. This will allow for potential out of network reimbursement for the patient.

If your out of network deductible has not been met, your first visit will be approximately $220/visit and all follow up visits (before your out of network deductible is met) will be approximately $160/visit.

Once your out of network deductible has been met, your cost/visit will lower.

Our self pay rate is approximately $220 for the initial evaluation and $195 each follow up session.

Each visit is 1 hour in length and is one on one with your physical therapist in the convenience of your own home or location of your choice.

After the initial evaluation, we do offer reduced pricing through purchase of self pay physical therapy packages.

What Should I Wear for My Appointments?

For your initial iMove PT appointment, you should wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

At the end of your initial visit, your therapist will let you know proper attire for upcoming visits.

Typically, for lower body issues shorts are preferred. For back and shoulder issues, a tank top or loose shirt is recommended.

Wearing tennis shoes or the shoes you typically wear for exercise is recommended.

Sandals or flip flops are not recommended for your PT sessions.

How Long Are Appointments?

All of our visits are 60 minutes and always one-on-one with your physical therapy provider.

What Should I Expect During My First iMove PT Appointment?

You should expect to leave your first visit feeling empowered, more knowledgeable of your condition, and extremely hopeful your physical condition will improve.

Your first visit includes:

  • An attentive therapist listening to your medical history
  • A full movement evaluation
  • Strength and mobility testing
  • Technology-assisted assessment (when appropriate)
  • Clear explanation of findings
  • Trial treatment and education on your personalized treatment plan
How many visits will I need?

It depends on your condition, goals, and how long the issue has been present.

Many patients begin feeling improvement within the first few visits.

Your therapist will outline a clear plan after your initial evaluation appointment.

I Don’t Have Any Exercise Equipment. What Kind Of Equipment Will iMove PT Bring If I Receive Mobile Physical Therapy?

Everything you will need for your mobile therapy session will be provided by your physical therapist.

Your therapist will bring a portable treatment table to your PT session. This way you will feel 100% comfortable when exercising or receiving hands on manual physical therapy.

We utilize an in-home pulley system called the TheraPulley. This will allow any exercise to be performed on any part of the body.

In addition, your therapist can bring in weights, balance training equipment, and any other needed equipment helpful for your specific diagnosis and goals.

We have even been known to bring a golf training mat and practice golf balls into the homes of our clients who desire to return to the game!

How Is The Progress Of My Physical Therapy Treatment Tracked?

You should notice a significant improvement in your discomfort and overall function as you progress through your one on one sessions.

Keeping track of your impairments and functional abilities provides physical therapists with objective data to compare to initial measurements.

Furthermore, your reports and personal experiences aid in validating your progress and alerting your therapist to regressions and/or a lack of progress.

At iMove PT, your physical therapist will perform a monthly assessment of your progress.

The data from this monthly assessment will then be sent over to either your referring physician/provider or the provider of your choice.

This way your entire health care team is aware of your current level of physical function.

Do You Have A Missed Appointment Fee Policy?

In order to provide a concierge level experience for all of our patients, we schedule one patient at a time for a complete hour.

In order for you to make progress with physical therapy treatment, you must be compliant with keeping your appointments.

The iMove PT staff is very respectful of your time and we want you to be respectful of our time.

If you are unable to attend your appointment due to illness or another emergency, please notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.

Any appointments that are missed and the iMove PT staff is not informed at least 24 hours in advance are eligible to incur a missed appointment fee.
